If you can take a look at your mail server settings specifically the IMAP and SMTP. Make a note of the values and delete an overwrite them also check your passwords for both SMTP and IMAP. Make sure they are the same if you can’t see them look at the number of stars or dots.

Why IMAP Folder is Not Properly Syncing?



Look at the mail server settings boxes for password and port settings they’re the ones you need to delete and reapply. I will try the safe starts and experiment with the buttons ans see if it improves. I am using TB for just three weeks now and I have issues daily when sending Outlook sync help from FixTechGuide mail with no attachments the outgoing mail server will time out. Since the sync issue is universal it appears to be a global issue.

Suspect some Apple Dev's have been lazy with some code Outlook profile repair and recovery steps in IOS18's mail.app and its causing the issue. I was a little hesitant but went ahead and let it completely remove all the synced items from the account off of my iPhone. After a minute, it was removed so just went and re-added it and BOOM. Decided to just try completely removing my Gmail account, the one that wasn’t syncing with the Mail App after the iOS 18 update.

Microsoft Outlook is terrible in IMAP. Hence most people only use MAPI with it. If you are forced to use IMAP, I would recommend switching to an alternative E-Mail client like Thunderbird Thunderbird — Free Your Inbox.

  • Meanwhile, the "connecting" or "Checking for mail..." just stays on the bottom status bar of the mail app.
  • A stable connection between your email client and email server depends on the syncing of your IMAP folder.

  • I have no firewall monitors running during the day that would interfere just the vpn.
  • I deleted the Apple Mail app from the phone, reinstalled from the App Store.
  • After instalation ios 18 all my accounts in mail app stopped to sync( including icloud mail).
  • It's usually not checked by default for IMAP to minimize network traffic.

It's not until I click on that folder I will then see the 10 and 3 and two second later it will sync and new ones will populate. The issue is; just looking at my email accounts and the numbers shown next to the folders I cant FixTechGuide Outlook repair tutorial tell if there is new mail or not until I click on them. I have all desktop alerts turned off I prefer it this way I don't need all of that. I just want to be able to look and see new message. Even if I have an account with zero message I need to click to see the new ones there are no numbers appear.

I checked all 5 of the tabs in this window that expressions is not there. This seems bizarre the email would not populate. A stable connection between your email client and email server depends on the syncing of your IMAP folder.
